This is Birch. He doesn’t “think” he is a lapdog, he KNOWS he is a lapdog. He just has to be careful because he is HUGE!
He doesn’t let lap size or his size stop him. With lap owner consent, if he can safely and gently climb up on your lap for a scritch and a pat, he will. He doesn’t have “good enough” or “what if I am too much” gremlins bonking around in his head. If you’re a good human, like he’s a “good boy”, we’ve got a match.
Much can be learned from animals. Any lessons out there?
Lessons Birch taught me:
- Lap size doesn’t matter
- Be a “good boy” if lap seating consent is given
- You are always enough and never too much for the right laps
Thank you to my good friend, Hannah Patterson, for the chips and salsa, time with Birch, and getting to see your amazing art. Here is her IG feed!
