When “good trouble” is working, the fragile, immature, and privileged lash out. Not because of merit, but because they fear a level playing field—one where they can no longer rely on privilege to stay ahead. They don’t want to share power, to feel uncomfortable, or to confront the truth: the system was built for them, and they’re terrified of dismantling it.
So they blame. They shame. They call names. They want minorities and women to bow, to express gratitude for the “culture” they’ve so graciously secured for us. To accept the crumbs they offer and say thank you.
But change is uncomfortable.
And good trouble—the kind that shakes foundations—is even more so.
Executive actions like this? They’re fear responses from a fragile cult of power.
🎯 Which means the good trouble is working.
🎯 Which means DEI programs have rattled the system.
🎯 Which means empathy and compassion are empowering people to demand real, lasting change.
💪🏽 Let’s keep going.
